We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our mission to change that: GanttTable for Atlassian Government Cloud (AGC) is officially live on the Marketplace. You can now install the app on your instance and start planning tasks and managing your projects.
For teams managing sensitive public-sector workloads, this brings us one step closer to delivering advanced project portfolio management directly within your secure Jira instances.
Atlassian Government Cloud, what is it?
The Atlassian Government Cloud (AGC) is a highly secure, isolated environment designed for U.S. government agencies and contractors. Authorized at the FedRAMP Moderate level, AGC complies with the strict NIST 800-53 security controls required to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Because data residency, encryption, and strict U.S. person access controls are enforced, Atlassian maintains an intentionally high barrier to entry for its Marketplace ecosystem. Apps cannot simply be ported over from the commercial cloud.
To maintain this secure perimeter, Atlassian requires compatible apps to be built natively on Forge and earn the Run on Atlassian badge. This is their secure extensibility platform where data storage and processing happen entirely within Atlassian’s protected infrastructure.

Why we built GanttTable for Atlassian Government Cloud?
From day one, GanttTable was engineered 100% on Atlassian’s Forge architecture. Because Forge inherently handles data residency and security, applying for AGC was a natural evolution for our product.
Besides, we also noticed that public sector teams have long had to choose between clunky, legacy desktop planning tools and spreadsheets detached from Jira. GanttTable bridges this gap perfectly.
With the flexibility of an Excel-like issue spreadsheet with the visual power of an automated Gantt chart, we aim to empower government teams to track tasks, manage workflows, and oversee cross-project portfolios. All while remaining strictly within their compliance boundaries.
How this affects our users
Whether you operate in the federal space or a standard commercial environment, this milestone is a win across the board:
- For Government & Contractor teams: Once final approval is granted, you will be able to provision GanttTable natively on your AGC instances. You’ll get the full suite of advanced spreadsheet and timeline capabilities without sacrificing your organization’s security posture.
- For Existing Commercial Cloud users: There will be zero disruption to your daily workflows, instances, or data.
For our beloved users who are interested in Atlassian Government Cloud, you can find this version of GanttTable by locating the view for option and choose Atlassian Government Cloud.

Looking ahead
Submitting to the Atlassian Government Cloud is a rigorous process, and we are incredibly proud of our engineering team for reaching this milestone. We are actively working alongside Atlassian’s support and compliance teams as we move through the final queue.
GanttTable for Atlassian Government Cloud is now available, and public-sector teams can now fully experience the app without any fear of compliance or security.
